  • Service Users, Carers, Providers & Voluntary Organisations Reference Groups

Adult Social Care is changing in Wandsworth and the Adult Social Services Department would like you to be a part of it. The changes mean that when considering what support people need, they will be looking at a support system that includes local community groups, their partners in the council, the NHS, voluntary agencies, care providers and other key organisations. As part of this change, they are introducing personal budgets. A personal budget is an amount of money used to pay for someones support needs. The personal budget will be made available to the user so that they are in control of spending it. He or she will know how much money they have to spend; know what the money can be spent on and will be able to spend the money in ways that make sense for them.
